The university’s incubator, Venture Factory is an important element of the University of Maribor innovation ecosystem. It is aimed at the promotion and support of the entrepreneurial engagement of students, researchers and professors of the University of Maribor, as well as other innovative individuals.

It offers excellent programs and services to promote the protection of intellectual property and research the solutions for its successful commercialization through collaboration with existing companies (licensing, intellectual property sales, contract research and collaboration with industry) and through the creation and development of new startup companies.Venture Factory within the consortium runs programs to promote entrepreneurship, advice for (potential) entrepreneurs and incubates startups (spin-offs and spin-outs).

A number of successful incubated companies, including many recipients of P2 startup incentives and SK Slovenian Enterprise Fund convertible loans, confirm the excellence of Venture Factory in promoting entrepreneurship.
