For the eighteenth year in a row, we’re selecting the startup that has impressed us the most with its achievements, actions, reputation, and growth potential. Do you know a company that deserves the title Slovenian Startup of the Year? Now is the time to nominate them!

Why do we present this award?

The Slovenian Startup of the Year Award aims to recognize and support the most promising young entrepreneurs who are pushing boundaries with their innovation, perseverance, and success. Once again this year, we’re looking for companies that represent the new generation of Slovenian startup entrepreneurship.

Your task? Nominate a startup you believe deserves this prestigious award. Nominations are open until March 21, 2025.

How does the selection process work?

• 5 finalists: From all nominations, the selection committee will choose 5 companies that will present their stories to the main evaluation jury in May.

• Award ceremony: The winner will be announced on May 27 in Ljubljana.

Who can compete for the award?

Startups that meet the following criteria:

• The company is registered in Slovenia and has its core team based in Slovenia.

• As of March 21, 2025, the company is less than 10 years old.

• The company has not yet received a major Series A investment round (up to €5 million).

• The nominated company has been informed of and agrees to the nomination.

Who can nominate?

f you work in an incubator, technology park, accelerator, venture capital firm, startup media, public agency, or any other organization that supports startups—or if you’re a startup mentor or otherwise involved in the Slovenian startup ecosystem—we invite you to nominate your favorite!
