Remigo among the Nominees for the DAME Award

Day 25. October 2021

Slovenian startup Remigo, the recipient of funds from the SloveneEnterprise Fund, P2 and SK75, got nominated for the DAME award, one of the largest most important marine competitions in the world, with its innovative outboard electric motor Remigo.

This nomination means great recognition for the company and the team, as well as for Slovenian industrial design and product development. At the same time, it's a confirmation of the correct decision of the Slovene Enterprise Fund to support the company.

The jury of the 30th Dame Awards, led by renowned nautical architect and yacht designer André Hoek, selected the nominees from more than 100 entries from 25 countries. The winners will be announced on November 16 in Amsterdam. Fingers crossed for Remigo!

Marko Vrtovec, founder and director said:

“The DAME Award nomination means that we are on the right track and that the Remigo is truly a product that has the potential to change the outboard engine market. It is time for Slovenians to take back the nautical market that Tomos once had. We are convinced that the large international exposure will also be reflected in orders, which are already difficult to keep up with. It will also help negotiate with investors for the next round of investment we need to industrialize the product."

Remigo, the small electric outboard motor of the new generation is distinguished by many innovations; all designed to be easy to use and handle. It is the first outboard engine in the world to be designed from the user's point of view, not technology's, according to the "design thinking" principle. It is entirely made and developed in Slovenia.

The company is successfully marketing its first product, RemigoOne, and expanding its sales network worldwide. They are already present in the most important European markets, and negotiating to enter the US market.
