The European Union Intellectual Property Office (EUIPO) has launched a grant scheme Ideas Powered for business SME Fund to help EU-based small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) in the field of intellectual property. Financial assistance is available for trademarks, designs and patents and will run from 10 January 2022 to 16 December 2022.
Grants are distributed in the form of vouchers that can be used for a variety of IP activities:
- Voucher 1 can be used for an IP scan as well as for registering trade marks, and/or designs,
- Voucher 2 can be used to register patents.
Each company may apply for a maximum of one Voucher 1 and one Voucher 2. The maximum amount of Voucher 1 per beneficiary is EUR 1 500 and of Voucher 2 EUR 750. Your SME may therefore be eligible to receive up to EUR 2 250.
Funds are limited and available on a first come, first served basis.
