Be localc is developing the SiMare application, which is the first on the nautical navigation market to use artificial intelligence and with the help of augmented reality to draw a personalized virtual 3D map indicating safe and permitted areas for each vessel. It solves the challenge of recreational boat operators’ inexperience and knowledge of the traffic regime, as well as a lack of easy-to-use navigation tools.

SiMare ensures safer navigation and preservation of protected water areas. The augmented reality in the application works by placing the phone in front of the intended route, and the screen instantly displays potential dangers and obstacles on the water, no-fly zones and the recommended location of anchoring or mooring in and out of the marina. The application also allows users to self-mark areas that are potentially dangerous or prohibited for navigation.
