Igor Jakomin
Over the course of a rich and diverse career, Igor has gained extensive experience
as Country Manager for Slovenia and Regional Director for Slovenia, Croatia, and
Bosnia and Herzegovina at United Parcel Service (UPS), as CEO of several
subsidiaries within the renowned Italian logistics group Samer, and as Deputy CEO
of the technology pioneer CargoX. In addition, as a member of the supervisory
boards of Luka Koper and BTC Terminal Sežana, he has made a significant
contribution to strategic decision-making and the long-term sustainability of these
organizations.
He became familiar with the public sector through his role as State Secretary at the
Ministry of Transport. Today, he works as a partner for change with executives and
senior leaders across the region who are facing complex challenges related to
leadership, growth, organizational transformation, and personal decision-making. At
the same time, he actively encourages young talents to realize their potential through
programs such as Pegasus Entrepreneurship Center, Business Class Academy,
Tovarna podjemov, Inkubator Sežana and Labena Ventures.
He also shares his extensive experience as a lecturer and associate professor at
leading universities at home and abroad. His PhD in Logistics reflects a deep level of
expertise, which he applies to shaping the development of business, technology, and
education at both regional and international levels.
