Jakovljević holds a BS in elektronics and holds an MBA from Clemson University, USA. Throughout his career, he has been involved in the development of various information systems, industrial and business processes in the pharmaceutical, automotive and computer industries. Jakovljević focused on the development of documents and processes management in environments that operate under strict legal regulations such as pharmacies, banks and the government.

Since retirement, Jakovljević actively works as a mentor within CEED and is a member of the Business Angels Club of Slovenia. He invested in several startups and has competences in managing the growth of a company, penetrating foreign markets, financing and marketing of high-tech products and services.
