YTILI: Looking for European Entrepreneurs and Innovation Leaders

Day 3. March 2022 posted Start:up Slovenija

When planning to expand into foreign markets, the number one tip is always to get in the car and drive there. Don’t expect to simply sell from your office via email or phone.

The magic happens outside, when you are in contact with the market, your customers and you can experience their way of thinking.

Even if you want to scale your B2B sales, every market has its own rules of the game. Communication is key. Talk to people, explore the country of interest, absorb the mentality of the new market. And remember, if there is a local competition, why would customers there want or need to buy your products and not from the local provider? Why do they need you?

The Young Transatlantic Innovation Leaders Initiative Fellowship Program (YTILI) is the U.S. Department of State’s flagship program for emerging entrepreneurs from Europe that supports them to grow their venture, find new business opportunities and build transatlantic networks. Operating since 2016, the program includes over 300 Alumni fellows.
