Tender for a 5,000 € scholarship for future entrepreneurs in cultural tourism!

The Bank of Koper informed us about an international tender that you can apply to until 15 September 2016 and is part of the project Ecapital Culture – Adriatic Start Up School. It’s intended for future entrepreneurs in the field of tourism and culture, who have ideas with which they wish to encourage local culture and cultural heritage in Slovenia. Amongst all applicants, the jury will choose 20 individuals from eight countries of the Adriatic region. These individuals will get a free 9-week training at the Start Up School Ancona in the value of 5,000 €.
 

The scholarship given by the Bank of Koper

As they say in the Bank of Koper, they wish for as many people as possible to find out about this tender and register their business idea for encouraging the growth and development of cultural heritage in their hometown or elsewhere. The project and consequently the scholarship are sponsored by the international bank group Intesa Sanapolo, part of which is also the Bank of Koper.
 

Who is the tender meant for?  

The tender gives an opportunity to everyone who wishes to found a company for encouraging local culture and cultural heritage in Slovenia. The individuals in question can be students, those employed or self-employed in culture, cultural workers, journalists specialized for culture, and other lovers and connoisseurs of tourism and culture.
 

About the project

Ecapital Culture – Adriatic Start Up School is an international project that was established in 2015. Its goal is to encourage young future entrepreneurs who are thinking about an independent business path, namely in the field of cultural tourism, promoting cultural heritage and other forms and types of developing the local culture.
 

About the application

The goal of the project is for candidates to use an application form to succinctly, in a couple of sentences:

  • present their business idea in the field of culture
  • make an argument for how promising their idea is in terms of encouraging cultural heritage, and
  • define the target market on which the idea could be implemented.

 

About the scholarship

Amongst the applicants, the jury will choose 20 individuals from eight countries of the Adriatic region. These individuals will get a free 9-week training at the Start Up School Ancona in the value of 5,000 euros, based on which they will be able to successfully embark into business waters with their idea.
