Day 31. January 2014 posted Stanislava Vabšek

Netokracija and the Initiative Start:up Slovenia have managed to attract the MINI Seedcamp event to Ljubljana once again. It will take place on the 19th of September 2014. The last MINI Seedcamp event that took place in Ljubljana happened in 2011.

MINI Seedcamp is a one-day event at which start-up companies and mentors from entire Europe meet up. At the event, led by the London-based accelerator Seedcamp, a foreign fund of risk capital offers support with company launch to young entrepreneurs and talented individuals who have original business ideas in the field of technological solutions. Seedcamp helps perspective entrepreneurs with financial capital, but mostly by getting esteemed mentors from home and abroad to share knowledge and experiences with different teams.

Event programme
At the beginning, start-up companies present their project in front of the committee. This is followed by one-on-one mentorships. The goal of the event is to connect teams with mentors, experts and entrepreneurs, who will be able to help them with their work in the future by sharing their knowledge and experiences. The purpose is to find perspective, innovative and globally-oriented start-up companies that Seedcamp will invest into. So far, Seedcamp invested into 3 Slovenian start-up companies: Zemanta, Vox.io and Oust.me.

Winners of MINI Seedcamp will be invited to the Seedcamp Week in Berlin this November, where they will spend 3 days in the company of more than 150 mentors. At that time, Seedcamp’s final decision about companies into which it will invest will also be known.
