An important event for business angels and start-ups from Austria, Italy and Slovenia will take place on 17 September 2015 in Velden am Worthersee in the heart of Carinthia. The Austrian Business Angel Day 2015 conference is inviting Slovenian business angels to participate and collaborate in cross-border investments, and Slovenian start-ups to join a pitch contest and Start-up exhibition. Start-ups, you can apply until 10 July 2015 with a three-minute long pitch video. As for Slovenian business angels, we collaborated with event organizers to ensure a discount code for a ticket.
Our collaboration with Alps-Adriatic region partners didn't end with the PODIM Conference. This time, we're inviting you to Austrian Business Angel Day 2015, an exclusive conference for private investors and experts from the investor industry, and their collaboration. This year, the event will have the slogan “Business Open Minded”, contributing to demolishing mental and geographical borders, which is also the usual business practice of high-impact start-ups and business angels.
Pitch contest or Investor Star Award 2015
We invite all promising start-ups from the Alps-Adriatic region, namely from Austria, Italy and Slovenia, to apply for a pitch contest. Record a creative, 3-minute long pitch video (you can do it with your smartphone), fill out the entry form and submit it.
Based on your applications, organisers will choose 30 start-ups that will compete at the event in order to place into the finals, where the five best ones will have the opportunity to pitch before the business angels committee. The winner will receive a flattering title Investor Star Award 2015 and get many opportunities for media appearances and collaborating with chosen investors.
Booth at the Startup-Exhibition and free participation
All 30 chosen start-ups will also have the opportunity of having their own booth within the framework of the Startup-Exhibition. Participation for these start-ups is offered at no cost, they only have to cover the costs of their travel and accommodation.

For help with finding accommodation, organisers recommend start-ups to contact the Velden Tourism Association directly (info@velden.at) and to reference that they are to participate at the Austrian Business Angel Day 2015 conference.
