ADRIATinn’s start-up weekend for networking and learning

The first ADRIATinn Start-up weekend will take place in Koper, from October 3rd to 5th 2014. The participants will acquire practical entrepreneurship skills for creating, selling, speaking, networking, managing, hiring and negotiating. At the same time, they will learn about the process of business idea development and its implementation in practice.


ADRIATinn Start-up weekend is meant for promoting entrepreneurship as well as for collaboration and creativeness amongst SMEs, students, researchers, entrepreneurs and all individuals who have a good business idea and are interested by entrepreneurship.

Participants are guaranteed to:

  • learn by doing practical work,
  • build a new business network,
  • acquire new entrepreneurship knowledge,
  • have expert support,
  • develop new business ideas,
  • look for potential co-founders for their start-up company.

ADRIATinn Start-up weekend also offers:

  • 54 hours of intense entrepreneurship work,
  • practical business and entrepreneurial skills,
  • participation certificate as a knowledge guarantee,
  • networking with successful entrepreneurs, academics and researchers,
  • advice from experts – business mentors and judges,
  • the possibility of developing individual ideas,
  • new career opportunities,
  • a lot of fun and socialising,
  • food, snacks and a creative environment.

Who can apply? Anyone who:

  • is full of energy, creative and prepared to work in a group,
  • has fresh ideas they want to bring to life,
  • has knowledge or experience and wishes to become a part of a creative start-up team.

Participation at the event is free. Application deadline is September 29th 2014.

University of Primorska, Institute Andrej Marušič is organising this event as part of the ADRIATinn project.
