The most successful startups today know that the best way to achieve growth and product development is to build an engaged community, such as the programme Google Top Contributors where an incredible group of enthusiastic lovers of Google products shares their knowledge on Google forums Google Help and Help on Social. As a thank you, Google enables them to test new products, for example, or attend exclusive events.

Community building is a fulltime job and requires an individual who’s completely devoted to it. It’s a process consisting of three key steps:

  1. Obtaining new members

  2. Educating members about the purpose of the community

  3. Keeping existing members through collaboration and support

After all, community building is often more art than science. But the starting strategy is the key to success.

Do you wish to build your own community? We’ll talk to Scott about his business path, the importance of building a community, key building blocks and necessary activities for the community to come to life and represent value added to its members. Scott will answer your questions so take advantage of the opportunity to get advice and solutions for the challenges you’re facing.
