Join us on Tuesday, 10 June 2025, at 10:00 AM for the event “Dual-Use Innovations: NATO DIANA, EUDIS , and Other Funding Opportunities for Slovenian Startups”, where we’ll explore how Slovenian innovative startups can enter the dual-use vertical (civil + defense applications of technology) and take advantage of new funding programs. The event will include a detailed presentation of opportunities to engage with NATO DIANA.  

Who is the event for?

Startups and innovative companies developing advanced technologies and exploring funding sources, new markets, and connections in the security, defense, and dual-use sectors.

What can you expect?

• Presentation of the NATO DIANA (Defence Innovation Accelerator for the North Atlantic) startup accelerator programs and the current open call (published on 2 June 2025).

• Brief overview of EUDIS (EU Defence Innovation Scheme), run under the European Commission.

• Q&A session with DIANA Challenge Managers – a valuable opportunity to ask questions before submitting your application!

• Case study of Slovenian participation: BioSistemika in the NATO DIANA program.

• Perspective of a scaleup company: challenges and opportunities in Slovenia’s defense and dual-use ecosystem.

• Overview of support services offered by the Slovenian Business & Research Association (SBRA) in Brussels for engaging with European calls.

Speakers include:

• Jyoti Hirani-Driver, Chief Operating Officer, DIANA (via video stream)

• Representatives from the Ministry of Defence of the Republic of Slovenia, SBRA, BioSistemika, and other key players from the support ecosystem
