Online seminar for SRIP members - How to create an innovative business model for introducing circular economy innovations into business practice?

 

About the seminar

In the first part of the seminar, participants will learn about the elements of the business model and the challenges of building innovative business models using the tool "Business Model Canvas" from Alex Osterwaldner. Theoretical starting points will be enhanced by the presentation of business model examples from companies in practice.

 

In the second part of the seminar, participants will work in groups on practical examples of creating innovative business models using the tool MIRO, encouraging the formation of heterogeneous groups for collaboration between members of SRIP- Circular Economy, representatives of startups and other stakeholders. All with the aim of fostering network partnerships and creating innovative business models based on new project partnerships and building new long-term value chains.

 

In the last part of the seminar, the teams will present their experiences and results and also give feedback on the potential of mutual collaboration and identify possible further steps for collaboration in the field of innovation.

 

The seminar will focus on the following key topics of the circular economy:

  • sustainable energy,
  • biomass and alternative raw materials,
  • functional materials, processes and technologies
  • and circular business models.

 

Who is the event for and what's the deadline?

The seminar is aimed at SRIP professionals and members of the public, potential members of SRIP, stakeholders in the quadruple helix of the Entrepreneurial Innovation Ecosystem, and especially startups looking to collaborate with established companies within SRIP.


Applications are open until March 23rd, 2021.


The keynote speaker of the seminar is Mag. Matej Rus - Lecturer in entrepreneurship and co-founder of Venture Factory, which is a supportive environment for entrepreneurs and a mechanism for transferring innovations from research institutions. He is also an expert of European Startup Monitor Tracker and an ambassador of Startup Europe for Slovenia.

 

The seminar will take place online via the platform ZOOM and by using MIRO.
