The 2nd Startup Meetup organized by Silicon Gardens is just around the corner. It will take place at Biljardna hiša on Slovenska cesta on Thursday, 8 September at 18:00.

The main guest will be Aleš Vičič, probably the most respected Slovenian "performance" psychologist. He will talk candidly and concretely with startup community members about achieving high goals. Aleš's 20-year career started in the field of sports psychology when he worked as a secret consultant for more than 100 Slovenian top athletes and contributed to some of the most high-profile successes of out athletes. 

Aleš is one of the few in his field who is based solely on scientific expertise and the method of cognitive behavioral therapy. He is by no means a stereotypical psychologist who deals with problems but helps to achieve excellence. His experience with national team players, Olympic winners and athletes, mainly in basketball and winter sports, has been focused on working with the country's leading managers and most outstanding entrepreneurs for the last five years. 

At the meetup, he will talk about the behind-the-scenes preparation for maximum sporting success, share stories of how significant a small behavioral change is, and how this maps into the field of running a startup. He will touch on concrete topics such as setting the right goals, resolving communication issues and conflicts, dealing with change and reservations of all kinds ... all things that limit an ambitious founder from reaching their full potential. 

This meetup will be exciting - you will be able to find out things that cannot be heard anywhere else. Aleš will be happy to answer any question, except about who he has helped with psychological advice, as he strongly believes in confidentiality. 

There will be networking after the 60-minute talk. Silicon Gardens Fund partners will also be joining.
