From logistics to technology
Igor has been closely connected to logistics and supply chains his entire life – a field without which the world simply cannot function. Though, as he jokingly says, he could live without logistics, but logistics couldn’t live without him.
He is a popular startup mentor, supporting startups primarily in three areas:
- Logistics and supply chains, where he brings decades of experience.

Implementation and use of modern technologies, having spent the past seven years working closely with tech companies.

Organization and leadership at the executive level, with a focus on leadership processes and effective team performance – regardless of the industry.
First entrepreneurial tries in the 1990s
Even during his studies, Igor showed his entrepreneurial spirit – he represented two Italian tile manufacturers and was responsible for sales across the former Yugoslavia. This was right after independence, a time when traveling to Croatia was still dangerous due to the war, and importing goods into Serbia was nearly impossible. Igor recalls it was no easy task, but those were the true challenges of that era.
A sailing lesson – never give up
His mentoring philosophy is rooted in life experiences that taught him real success always comes from persistence and finding solutions. One story from his youth stands out – he had to give up on his “Olympic dreams” in sailing because of a disagreement at university.
Today, this experience represents a powerful lesson: if your desire is strong enough, you have to look for ways, not excuses.
Passions: from golf and sailing to hard rock and wine
In addition to mentoring, he is also defined by his hobbies. Golf has been his passion in recent years, while sailing is a sport he has been involved in since his youth. He enjoys traveling, cooking, exploring flavor combinations over a glass of good wine, and music—especially hard rock and heavy metal—which has been a part of his life since he was 13.
Back then, he played the drums, and today he still regularly attends concerts across Europe.
His proudest mentoring win
Igor counts his greatest mentoring success as the moment when, at a company where he was coaching the leadership team, the employees themselves approached him – because they noticed positive changes in their managers and wanted the same growth for themselves. For him, this kind of feedback is priceless.
Looking ahead: AI, cybersecurity, and emotional health
If he were to launch a new startup today, he would choose either cybersecurity or emotional health, as he sees growing societal needs in both areas. In logistics, however, he is convinced that the next five years will be most strongly shaped by artificial intelligence – not as a passing trend, but as a key tool for optimization and progress.
A mentor who makes no compromises – except in life
His mentoring energy is built on fairness, knowledge, and personal dedication. Or, as he likes to put it: life is full of compromises – but when it comes to wine, he accepts none.
