Company Animacel Ltd., finalist of the competition Start:up of the year 2012, was declared winner of the second Si.mobil’s competition for small companies from amongst more than 70 companies that applied.
The contest was carried out in the form of an elevator pitch. In two minutes (the duration of an elevator ride), the representatives of the company dr. Katerina Čeh and prof. dr. Gregor Majdič convinced the committee with the presentation of their company, which works in the field of treating animals with stem cells. The company received a subsidy worth 10,000 EUR in the form of services of Si.mobil’s Perfect Office and a presentation on the show Right Idea on TV Slovenija.
Second place and a subsidy in the amount of 5,000 EUR were given to the company U2G Ltd. from Maribor – an incubated company of Venture Factory, the business incubator of the University of Maribor. U2G Ltd. uses their product (mobile application) Sportwipe to connect and reward millions of people for their healthy lifestyle.
The goal of the company is to set up a network that will directly connect active individuals with sport equipment brands. They are starting a movement that will use a network of interested companies to enable a healthier lifestyle to individuals.
