Finalist of the competition Startup of the year 2016 are developing ADORA - a system that uses natural gestures, so surgeons are in full control of all the patient's scans, while maintaining a sterile environment.
Despite the modern equipment of the operating theaters, there is a high chance that an error will be made during any operation. Some of this is due to communication difficulties within the operating team. If a surgeon needs to review the patient’s scans during an operation, he must leave the theater to access the data and rescrub before entering again.
software and hardware solution was developed in tight cooperation with surgeons and hospitals. The system feeds the data about the patient in a contactless manner by using gestures and voice, thus reducing the risk of communication and infection errors and saving lives. The system is just about to complete the certification process.
The team consisting of Kristjan Košič, Andraž Leitgeb, Matej Vogrinčič and Zedin Salkanović strengthened with contract workers in the field of sales, design and development. Last year, they gained an investment of 200,000 € from Tim Draper and the Bulgarian Eleven fund, this year they are focusing on building a global distribution network.
