Location
The esteemed business accelerator of Northern and Eastern Europe, Startup Sauna, is coming to Ljubljana! In collaboration with the Initiative, it is looking for the most promising start-up companies of the region.
The chosen teams will meet internationally renowned mentors and entrepreneurs, gain valuable feedback and have the opportunity to participate in the excellent programme of the accelerator. Startup Sauna is open to all companies with global potential, an excellent team and a functioning product or prototype. The mentors’ committee will choose the best teams from amongst all applicants and notify them about their participation at least four days before the event.

Mentors
Juha “Sumppi” Kaunisto is currently the design director in the company Conmio. He has more than 15 years of experience in the field of building internet companies, with a lot of first-hand knowledge – from business strategy, marketing and user experience to planning and implementation. In his coaching, he primarily focuses on tactical questions of start-up development, from the initial concept of the service to the actual user experience.
Oskari Lehtonen is a seed investor in a Finnish investment company KoppiCatch Oy. He lived and worked in the Silicon Valley, in London and in Singapore. Oskari founded, advised, invested, sold and worked as a president or management board member in many different growing companies. He is currently the chairman of the board in the company Tabletkoulu.
Kristoffer Lawson is an entrepreneur with long years of experience in product and technology innovation. He was a key founder of the Holvi Bank, where he helped develop sales channels and guide the vision for building key technologies. He is also the founder of the largest digital art festival in the Nordic countries, The Alternative Party. He relaxes by leading the blog Travelling Salesman, where he accurately documents global start-ups going through their crazy expeditions. He is active in the hacker community, listens to too much avant-garde electronic music and drives a Caterham 7.
